"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

Hiro from Kyoto, Japan

Nice Tuesday shot.

27 Aug 2013 1:05pm

@Hiro: when/ if you see a mattress on the street would you stop and think of its history ? would you think who was using it, how many times it was peed, or how many viruses it picked up when somebody sick was using it for ages ? would you think of previous owner of this mattress if he died or simply wanted a better quality of the mattress. would you ever pick up the mattress from the street ? see, nothing is silly here, but very serious issue could be raised up after seeing this biker rushing home with a 'new mattress' :)

I just think it is amazing that he can balance himself on the bike with the mattress and ride the bike. That mattress definitely has seen better times. A sad comment on what some people have to resort to for survival. A powerful image.
