Blind Date

Canon EOS REBEL XT 1/400 second F/7.1 ISO 400 150 mm

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

18 Aug 2012 7:34am

@Phil Morris: I never though of "Blind Date" as a cute name and never thought of a blind-date as a cute thing; you never know what kind of idiot can appear on this date :)

Le monsieur. Plus âgé est plus romantique

Excellent contrast as always. The one with the sunglasses is the boyfriend of the girl that has dated with the one with the flowers. Normal.

RonnyVee from Tielt, Belgium

I also love the photo; but what strikes me is that the man with the flowers on the second photo suddenly is wearing a wedding ring?

18 Aug 2012 12:55pm

@RonnyVee: wonderful observation Ronny ! Bravo ! Now imagine how many married guys go to date with their wedding rings in a pocket ! This one was not happy to see who came to this blind date and quickly put his ring back . This story would be super and complete if I have one more picture of the man with flowers back home to his wife who would be smiling getting this flower from her lovely husband :) Well, that is life !!!

lena from SanFrancisco, United States

Really cool double shot presentation. This is just grand street shooting, but I especially love the contrapoint of the little girl hugging the tree in the ad on the back of the bus. Super work, as usual, MM.
