Wedding !

*

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

The bride in sneakers is priceless! Well seen and captured Mariana! ;-)))

4 Oct 2011 11:58am

@Eric Cousineau: This couple in foreground is more important , Eric, than bride's sinkers ;) That is why I created this collage story ;) There is no wedding for this poor Muslim girl ! She needs to wait for another year(s) :) Thanks !

klausz from Kufstein, Austria

like a comic strip! and yes, this is real life!! *lol*
it seems to be the wish in each country and culture for a woman, to wear "white" on a special day!

4 Oct 2011 12:28pm

@klausz: wish of each woman is to get married ....in my vision of this scene I see this girl asking her boyfriend when they are going to marry . He said - not this year my dear, maybe next one ... She run away with last good bye ;) What about this story ? Thx Klaus !

RBL from Oxford, United States

Great series of candid shots! Beautiful b/w's!

4 Oct 2011 12:41pm

NO this is not the end of my story ... I´m a romantic! ... she thinks, wow, this girl is so young and she is now going to marry and I´m waiting for so many years .... that's the last straw, i go to by a wedding dress! ;-)

4 Oct 2011 12:47pm

@klausz: I was very romantic when was much. much younger... Not any more . Does romance really still exist ?

4 Oct 2011 1:02pm

@ordinaryimages: she wants to get married . she cannot wait any more .... :)

Williams from East LaHave, Nova Scotia, Canada

An interesting illustration of the diversity & perhaps inequality of our society. One really must wonder what the young Muslim woman is thinking.

4 Oct 2011 1:14pm

Stephen from Canberra, Australia

Perfect timing in the way you tell a story in three wonderful candid images. Comic in the sense that the bride is running late for her own wedding. But in the last frame, we see that the woman watching can only dream of a day like this.

4 Oct 2011 1:30pm

4 Oct 2011 3:01pm

Twojays from United States

Great story telling! Love it in B&W. I just know that young Hindu woman had a moment of "sniff," whatever the story there. And the mixed cultures makes this even more poignant. There is only one Wedding really universally.
