Hi, How Are You?

Posted by
Mariana Maoduš (Waterloo, Canada) on 2 October 2011 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

It's lovely and strange at the same time when stranger on the street smiles at you and says : "Hello ! How are you ?"
I remember when visiting my grandma who was living in a village, she would say a million time to me - say hello to everyone and smile !

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

C'est pratique le scooter (c'est le nom que l'on donne à cet engin en France) pour faire un tour quand on marche mal.
L'homme n'est pas indifférent, c'est rare. Le plus souvent, c'est l'indifférence la plus totale, à Paris en particulier.

:D I think your grandma never visit a city like new york!
but right, it is also very common in austria, where i live, to say hello, o.k. not to everyone, but at least dozens of time every week! it is still a life together, not nearby!
you use the whole range between the black and white color and get impressive contrasts! so your bw processing really works and that you´ve an eye for such streetsceneries has been no secret since i entered this blog! nice sunday mariana!

Oh Mariana - I really love this one - the man has such a gentle smile. My grandpa used to always say "if someone doesn't have a smile, give them one of yours - they must need it". If only there were more people in this world that would give away smiles, it would be such a much better place!
