Happy Sunday Jack !

Canon EOS REBEL XT 1/250 second F/7.1 ISO 400 75 mm

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

jpla from St Barthélémy d, France

Il n'est pas tout seul ! Je te souhaite un agréable dimanche !

Chris Pereira from San Jose, CA, United States

great portrait, I think this is beautifully composed, with the black bottle contrasting with the light background behind it, his light arm against the black tree bark, with his tattoo starting right at him. The tree effectively divides the picture in two, separating him from the whiskey, but it's joined by his arm... I'm probably looking into it too far, but I really, really love the way you composed this. I think you really captured his personality well.

26 Jun 2011 5:34am

@Chris Pereira: o, yes... you go too far ... when you take candid shots you have no time to think of composition , where to place this or that thing ... this is an instant ... and somebody who is well experienced taking these quick shots , sometimes from a car too , does not think of these things ... this is something natural, that only a brain can register and you just click on your camera ! I hope you understand what i am trying to say ;) thanks !

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, Spain

The last thing he needs and the first thing he wants, not the best way for a man to live.
Great capture. When I did homeless shelter in America over 90% of the men looked like him and most were Viet Nam war vets

26 Jun 2011 11:57am

@J.R.: I do not think he is a homeless, and he looks pretty ok, comparing with guys who are homeless ! thx JR

An instant classic! He has the bottle right out of the LCBO bag and just can't wait to get at it... ha! His tattoo is intriguing, and he's got that jaunty backward ball cap thing going on... what a great street snap.

J.R. from Ginowan, Japan

If happiness comes from a bottle then why are so many drinkers miserable. Work with these folks a while and you'll see. Been where he's at and will never go back. Homeless or not if he keeps at the bottle it's a good likelihood.
