I'm pleased by most of this one, especially it's well framed and the tender blueish colors bring in some coherence. However I find the reds on the right side annoying, I'd have cut or smeared them away.

apart from finding this photo superb in and by itself (frame, colours - yes, the red too!, subject, ...) i find the comments almost as interersting. amazing what ideas and interpretations our aminus friends come up here! this is another thing i cherish about your photos, mariana - the range of emotions they contain or seem to contain!

Oh I just meant, after looking at the OTHER picture you have of the old fellow, he looked to be a fairly happy fellow...yes in THIS frame, he does not look particularly happy. And my use of the word "pretty" was not referring to his visage...it was more intended to imply the amount of happiness that his (earlier) photo displayed where he wactually was smiling.... Have I thoroughly confused you now?? :-)

Lovely photograph... It gives me a lot of thoughts... for e.g. I am just amazed the way the driver's shirt/jerkin sleeves have blended with the old man's collar, the driver's wrist is almost hidden!! The mirror's chrome plating gives a modern look to the otherwise old-school look of the rest of the photograph.

I actually have a question, hope you wouldn't mind answer it ;) ... which one of the 2 photographs (this and the august 2009 one) is a reflection? Why am I asking this question!!! Well... the old man's teeth made me think that one of these 2 photographs is a reflection though I couldn't make out which one actually is.

The old man has only 2 teeth (what is visible). And in each of the photographs - the curent one and the August 2k9 one - the old man has similar number of teeth but on the opposite sides (right side in the current photograph and on the left side in the older one)!!! So I was of the opinion that one of them is a photograph of the old man's reflection though the clarity in the photograph proves otherwise. Was I wrong in my observation?
