Happy weekend everyone.
I do not feel well. Will catch up tomorrow !

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

A great series M' . I really like the b/w versions. It does make me a little worried about the dominance of alcohol for these characters in order to blot out the fears or inabilities to cope with ordinary everyday living.

Hey Mariana! Of course, I continue to love your pictures....you are one of the very few on my blogwatch!
I'm so sorry that I didn;t post a comment on the last couple of pics. But be assured, I follow and enjoy your pics every single day. And also I really appreciate your comments too...you are one of the few who regularly comments on my pics. I'm so touched that with the huge number of followers you have, you cared enough to ask me if I'm not enjoying your blog anymore. Just to reiterate, I really do love your work. And please don't read anything into it if I fail to post a comment. Honestly, sometimes after all the comments that you would already have on a pic, I just won't know what more to say. I just prefer to look at the pic, and silently admire it! :)

Ti from Alpharetta, United States

I've found the world most interesting people are all living in Waterloo, Mariana, and you've met so many of them! They all seem from the past or from the movies that were screened and picked, everyone has such unique look that we simply don't see everyday, at least here in Atlanta...

Waterloo is definitely a place that movie producers and directors should visit to pick their roles from... :-)

20 Sep 2010 1:07pm

@Ti: I like what you are saying Ti ! Look , I am from Sarajevo, and my very dear friend Emir Kusturica is a movie director . For his the best films, he would take mostly people from the streets, not at that time popular actors in Yugoslavia. He got very famous . When I started taking pictures, I though of him a million times, how great characters he would find here. NOt only they look this way, but they are interesting to talk to . Yesterday I had a chance to talk to one of them, I already have a few pictures of ( such as - All is broken, Dry Season , ... )
