Tongue-Feeding

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

This person clearly has an overwhelming love for these birds. And they're not caged. It's a great image and sweet, but unusual at the same time.

Wow, that's some technique for bird feeding. Great clear, colorful shot. But, the more I think about it, the more I think about bad bird-borne diseases. That person is courageous ! :-)

A perfect timing for this image. A little disgusting to imagine the birds eating from his tongue :) but well, if he likes it and at least, seems his own lil'birds and not dirty pigeons from the street. A cool scene from the great show Life proposes, daily. Have a great w-e*

The beautiful carolinas well accompanied by a kind gesture. Food is a pleasure. They are very intelligent animals. I have six at home and also raised ... half were also free ... in a huge cage! They did us a lot of company! I love this sweet image and is very well composed! Best regards Mariana! A nice work!!!

Very interesting photo but the act itself is way beyond my own personal boundaries. There would be birds starving if they had to wait for me to feed them this way.

very wise words from Andre Kertesz here i enjoyed reading and viewing ur capture thats goes well with it.

thank you for sharing

8 Aug 2010 3:27am

@Othersideblue: Somehow I feel so close to his words .... well, my pics are far from his.. ha ha .. but I could not find better words to explain what I am doing while talking pictures ... ;)

Seraphine from San Francisco, United States

actually, thats how birds feed eah other. if they like you, they will vomit food up. it's a sign of love among birds, to feed each other. so feeding a bird with yout tongue is also an expression of love. it is not so strange to birdlovers to experience this behavior.

8 Aug 2010 4:16am
