"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

@Pavan Kaul: thx Pavan . Nothing special about processing here .

Bettina from Los Angeles, United States

Oh my goodness. Honey is better than Pepsi. But I must say, it looks like the wicked witch is stocking up for the next batch of children to lure with sweetness. I'm sure she's a lovely lady, but the character in her face, and her pose are amazing. How do you manage in a grocery store without discovery? :)

17 Jul 2010 5:34am

@Bettina: thx Bettina. With little camera you can take pictures anywhere ;)

17 Jul 2010 7:34am

Richard T from Leicester, United Kingdom

Their head gear suggests a certain life style for these two women.
Her eyes suggest: Oh I wish we could have some of that honey. She whispers to Agnes behind her and asks ''Have we got enough money? ''

A powerful concentration of colour which works well in the image.

richard

17 Jul 2010 7:53am

very touchy shot. the two amish (?) women look so fragile and needy, as if never seen honey in bottles before.

17 Jul 2010 8:47am

@trilliana: ha ha ... cool comment :)) maybe they have their own honey , 100% pure one :)) See, I go to Mennonites to buy honey. This in bottle is miserable !

18 Jul 2010 1:19am

Both of these ladies look so out of place amongst the fixtures of this modern store. It's the bonnets. Nicely captured.

18 Jul 2010 2:36am

Sugata from Newark, United States

Wonderful shot! Also, the repeated Pepsi logo in the background is a nice contrast to the healthy honey.

18 Jul 2010 4:53am

k@ from Paris, France

Ah, the super heroines are back, they really seem out of a cartoon, totally agree with Krikri, they have a Ma Dalton look and seem so unreal. I can't imagine their life, slow pace, little voices.... Two cute bees ;)

I remember them. Always like a time lapse.

21 Jul 2010 4:21pm

I see that hesitancy in the woman's face...."Should I buy? Should I not?" This photo reminds me of a sign I recently saw on the doors of a major grocery chain here in town....."No photography allowed." Took me by surprise.
