"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

Good idea! :)) I like the composition with the smiling protagonist on the left, creating movement in the image.

14 May 2010 5:30am

Bettina from Los Angeles, United States

The energy between the two figures is excellent in your composition. They are true opposites as the world passes around them. Her frown and folded arms, his winning smile and offering of gifts are excellent captures. Great shot and great title!

14 May 2010 7:00am

k@ from Paris, France

Hee hee, he's looking at the kid in the stroller or someone beyond the serious black woman, that's why she does not react but your title is witty & cool to let us believe he does ;)) Well done ! (does he hold a kid toy in hands ?). The black woman is super well framed with her armed crossed and she seems to wait someone who does not come. She should open her arms... and eyes to the smiling fellow there !

14 May 2010 7:06am

@k@: Believe me I did not see anybody with this man, no kids with him . At first I thought he was smiling at me , then I looked around to see to whom he was smiling and saw her :) I moved quickly to get two of them on a picture . Looks like he was happy getting this toy on some shooting games :)) [ and looking for girl to give her this gift . lucky me I did not get it ..:)) ]

Ddo from Verdun, France

Good scene. I'm agree with k@'s interpretation. But maybe will she succomb in front of this generous smile ! If you're still waiting, can you buy me a pistachio ice cream please ?

Henk van Rijssen from Utrecht, Netherlands

I've looked several times at this photo today and it's all about the man and the woman. The rest isn't interesting and after a while you don't see them anymore.
The way he smiles as if he says: but I've got you a toy while her look is: but it did cost us $50.
The picture: priceless :-)
