"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

That's the one armed toddler grip, perfected in second year high school football. Comes in handy in rush hour traffic and post pre-school pick up situations. :)

Strong service. The image of quiet strength and reassuring the father. An almost symbolic image of the vision of a father by his daughter.

23 Apr 2010 1:38pm

Mark Johnson from Rural Colorado, United States

Great shot; I like the intense look on dad's face. I guess you can tell it is 'father, father' because if it was 'kidnapper, kidnapper' the guy would be running!

23 Apr 2010 1:50pm

@Mark Johnson: ha ha .. right - a kidnapper would run or be more discrete :) My camera would not catch him :)

JJ from Jersey City, United States

WOnderful shto and processing, he looks quite intense, I would suspect the girl didnt want to leave or go where-ever there going and Dad had to resort to carrying her like htis

23 Apr 2010 2:11pm

23 Apr 2010 7:38pm

k@ from Paris, France

Kid/napping ? Bakery shopping ? Potatoes to deliver ? Whatever the answer (oh, and yes, Daddy carrying Princess Light too ;), the scene is very realistic, end of the day ? Dad is tired and 3 girls are awaiting behind, shhhhh, let's be discreet ! ;) High contrasts to dramaticize the scene with humor too*

23 Apr 2010 8:46pm

@k@: he he .. to me it looks like a bakery shopping . For you it is nothing since you have French long bread for centuries , but I remember when first time we got a long French bread , people did not know how to carry it and they carry it the same way as this man carries his girl ;)) That was my first impression when spotted him ! Thx Karine. Hope all is fine over there .

tataray from St Laurs, France

Non ... tu n'auras pas !... )))
Superbe scène ..

23 Apr 2010 8:47pm

Christel from Köln, Germany

Good evening, Mariana,
oohhh, it looks as if the little girl calls for help. I hope it is not kidnapping. The man's face looks very calmly in this situation. Maybe he wears the sunglasses for sun protection of his eyes, or as camouflage? The choice of color makes the scene very well expressed. Have a nice evening and thanks for your nice comment.
Dear greetings Christel

23 Apr 2010 8:56pm

@Christel: he he .. whatever is happening here, I have a picture for police in a case they look for this girl ;))))) HAve a great night and sunny weekend , Christel ;)
