"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

Great shot Marianna...love the processing on this...the hooded guys in black on both sides seem so threatening and mysterious...wonderful!!

21 Nov 2009 5:45am

bigezbear from New Orleans, United States

Gorgeous and so rich in color and contrast. I love the forward movement of the central group contrasted with the two figures who are stationary. Adds a bit of danger. Wonderful.

Preciosa.

Fred from Manila, Philippines

Wow. Very interesting post processing you did here Mariana. I'm not exactly sure on how to describe it but it really works for the image. And a very candid capture you did here! Good luck with your surgery! You'll be just fine. :)

@Fred: Thx Fred . I really hope nothing is too dangerous :))

Good One !!! That IS a rather grim group of people on the street. Nice the way you encouraged that idea with the handling of your dark tones and lightly saturated colors. Really well done !!

MadScientist from Düsseldorf, Germany

It is to be feared that this little smile will disappear way too fast and the colours will fade away into a dull grey. Well spotted & processed!

The donkey is always smilling! But he is a donkey with a baby vision!

21 Nov 2009 11:50am

Richard Trim from Leicester, United Kingdom

I think this image says a lot about the modern urban societies that most people live in. The day to day routines and struggles for so many ordinary people don't always allow them to have a smile on their face . Babies ... well ''it's a baby's life ''.

Hope you get the treatment you need soon M'.
