"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

KriKridesign from Cully, Switzerland

Visit was great...enjoyed it a lot...and particulary love this one...they have some extraordinary beautiful eyes...
I have added your blog as a link here
http://christinelavanchy.bleublog.lematin.ch/
chapter virtual collection, photgraphy...

Have you ever made exhibitions?

If you come once to exhibit in Switzerland, You must inform me...otherwise I won't never post again comments on your images...(and if you come for some other thing than exhibition, you can also call me, will be a pleasure to meet you!);-)

2 Feb 2010 8:44pm

@KriKridesign: hey, really big thanks for your viist today of those old images ;) will see this link after I reply . exhibitions? You are kidding ! where ? how ? I even never go to the places with exhibitions , here in Waterloo. That is all a shit . As for Toronto, it takes time , which I do not have . Hey, I am just beginner in photography . I know I have a lot of good pictures, but never thought about it seriously . Just my hobby . When I lost a job as a software developer, I was visiting few Photo stores, but they ask for certificate . Bullshit . They even did not want to take a look at my pictures. Diploma is only important here, not talent . I met one professional photographer , fell in love with him, then broke up, but he recently sent me an email telling me he is delighted with my talent and he wants to help me and educate me in this field . He wants me to refine my work and he grantee I am going to be a famous .. ha ha see this ( his words : "Mariana, I would also enjoy helping you further your understanding of photography and work with you on perfecting and refining a talent such as I have never encountered before. You have such a great capacity for emotions of all kinds--joy and sorrow that your work will always be inspired--it just needs to be refined. I can not add to your genius--god gave you that, but it would be my honour to teach you how to use your genius in a more effective way. You are the kind of student a teacher is lucky to get once in a lifetime. I would give you access to the broadest range of high level professional camera equipment you will ever need and teach you how to use it to further your art. Lenses from 180 degree fisheye to 16X telephoto to life-size macro lenses. And lighting equipment that will paint a scene the way you intend it to look. And printers to make any size you want." I forgot something : I am originally from Sarajevo, ex-Yugoslavia. Since came to Canada I have never been back home. This summer I am planning to go there for the very first time . Who knows- maybe we meet then .. ha ha It would be more than cool !

KriKridesign from Cully, Switzerland

UUUUUUhh...what a reply...
No Mariana, I'm not joking. I've almost more than 15 years working in painting..(Not the paints who fill my fridge, only my passion ad my time...)
I did account that...
-success does not depend from quality of your work...unfortunatly quality of your work don't give you for sure chances of success...
And I've seen real shit loafs exhibited and welcome by the critics as some major masterpieces...especially in painting
( in photo , I don't know, I'm even more beginner than you!!!).
Alll that to say, that while searching hardly for exhibitions places, I've heard everything the worth as wall as the best...I've met some poeple who where very very encouraging with my painting...
I've decide to believe in me, in my chance and to follow my searchs ...and more than the rest..to follow my small voice who tells me what to do, what is right, what is not...I want to finish a step, to put my work on walls...In a way they missed the final touch...Exactly if you are in a kitchen preparing the best recipe you are abble to do and then stop it, forgottten to prepare the table for your guests...You see what I mean?
And I think that you, as beginner as you think you are, are in the kitchen...and soon, very soon you'll need a marvelous table in Versailles rooms...
I can show you a link here
http://www.esf.ch/artistes.php
That is a showroom in my town for contempory art and they shown some photographs...almost all are "professionnal" I can't see difference between your works and their, in term of intensity, personality,engagment...Plesae, believe in your chance...

2 Feb 2010 9:42pm

KriKridesign from Cully, Switzerland

And I also forgot something...I think too that if we can meet this summer...
I could show my small paradises in the mountains...? ;-)))

3 Feb 2010 10:52am

@KriKridesign: and take million pictures there ... See, it is very interesting : when was living in Europe I was in so many countries every summer, but never was in Switzerland. Will see what I am going to do this Summer with my vacation .. I am usually very busy, and this Summer I am planning 2 weeks to be with my mom and sis :)) MIss them so badly !!
