Canon PowerShot SX100 IS 1/800 second F/4.0 ISO 80 6 mm

*

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

@rian: It took me some time to get a nice pic of this . It was very windy and waves of this dirtiness was taking away all feathers and back again . Beside, right there, a dead duck..... uh, that was such a sad moment .... I even took this dead duck and threw it far, far away in the lake .

I don't believe I can add any more superlatives, they all seem to be used by others for this image!
Be gentle tomorrow, for you may be setting a precedent (at least for me). I come across many things in my travels, which i have always felt were not acceptable to post...
You're very talented Mariana, accept no boundaries!

21 Sep 2009 3:54pm

@Scott: Thanks so much Scott for your comments and great compliments . Hmmm.. you are so right - I wanted to create a series of 3 shots . I was so touched by seeing a dead duck, still beautiful, looking like it is sleeping with its head on a water .... So, that was my idea for tomorrow ...and last one would be very dark BW of the lake where I buried this poor duck !!!

Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, Canada

Very cool shot. The beads of water and the sharpness of the feather.
Death in Nature is not like death in the lives of man. We die and get buried or burned. In Nature death means someone else gets a meal. A sad and happy event.
