"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

Love the macro shot. The pollen on the dragonfly {?} is a perfect color to draw the eye to the head. Great image!

A beautiful close up with all the minute detail I like. You have such clarity of the dragonfly and the pollen he's carrying around to another flower. Fine shot.

16 Apr 2009 4:24pm

@amirreza: Funny to say, but this lovely macro I took with my old, cheap camera - HP Photosmart M537 with only 6 megapixels :))

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

What a beautiful capture here. The green is so vivid and really serves as a nice contrast to the dragonfly. The dragonfly also seems to have some very "metallic" eyes that have good reflections.

Congratulations on the Spotlight! Well deserved! :)

17 Apr 2009 4:09pm

@Magda: what does it mean - spotlight ???? I am on this site only for 5 days , have no clue what it is :)) Help please :))

Magda from Vancouver, Canada If you go to the front page you will see your photo being featured in the Spotlight - every day there is an image chosen for either it's quality, uniqueness, etc... On the bottom of your page (right side) you will see "Powered by Aminus3 Photoblogs" - click on that and it will take you to the front page. I hope this helps! Welcome on AM3.

17 Apr 2009 4:19pm

@Magda: Thanks .. I found it :)) That is pretty exciting to see my photo on that page :))

5 May 2009 5:44pm

@Bill Jennings: Thanks a lot . I have to admit - I am very proud of getting such a clear shot of this pretty dragonfly ! Even one artist from Wateroo, where i live, saw it on my other photo site and asked me for permission to use it for his work . Sounds really great !

beautiful would've been an understatement. I hope 'excellent' is enough! wow! look at those colors! exciting yellow coupled with something that looks like blue (I didn't memorized the color wheel and I have Red Green weakness) to balance the scene. magical :)

Damien from Le Havre, France

29 Apr 2011 12:55pm

@Damien: Thanks for visiting . I do not care for Spotlight ... What they do is just matching colors on that Spotlight page, selecting sweet image, colorful images .... About 80 % of spotlight pictures I do not like at all . For this macro I used my old HP Digital Camera that had a perfect macro setup . NO one camera after that was able to do macro as this one . Thanks again .. and do not think of Spotlight images as perfect images .... They are good for person who is selecting them ....
