Careful. You're In the Library!

"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."

So, I gotta ask-How do you get away with being on the floor, in a library, taking shots, without being locked up, or having your lights knocked out?

3 Jan 2011 10:13am

@CElliottUK: you know what ? with small camera you can do whatever you want ... your brain needs to be fast and create an composition and then, camera only does - 1 click, and that is all ;)

Careful, you're in the library with Mariana and she has a very fast eye! Haha... wonderful two-for-one shot. His expression is great, and the lady's oversized bag with her garment draped over it had me (just for a split second) thinking she better not be stealing books!

Philippe from Nivelles, Belgium

Hi, Mariana. Funny how this man is staring at you. I guess he was surprised to see you standing (lying?) there. I also like the contrast between his attitude and the woman's who doesn't seem to be noticing you. The books on the shelves also form a good graphic background.
I wish you a very happy New Year,
Philippe

It doesn't seem happy that you photograph him. But his direct glance contrasts strangly with this woman whom we just guess under her veil. Good black and white.

Those places are where you have to be good:), great angle making

3 Jan 2011 11:27pm

@69mil: i was good :) did not do anything bad ;)

Brine from France

You are in a bookshop: do not too much speak loudly, do not laugh, do not eat big cakes, in brief do not live!!!
No I make fun: I like the climate of such places, the smell of books, the profusion of knowledge to be acquired!
Your photo makes well the atmosphere of your photo, with this man little stupéfaiy to be so photographed and this woman, plunged into iher research and indifferent to everything...
I like, 5), Mariana, kisses

3 Jan 2011 11:39pm

@Brine: thx Brine . Your comments are always so descriptive . Thanks for your time viewing and writing :)
