"The moment always dictates in my work. What I feel, I do. This is the most important thing for me. Everybody can look, but they don't necessarily see. I never calculate or consider; I see a situation and I know that it's right, even if I have to go back to get the proper lighting."
~ Andre Kertesz

Bettina from Los Angeles, United States

Beautiful. Quite surreal and intense in its coloring. I love their concentration. Your image is like a collage itself.

8 May 2010 5:40am

@Bettina: Picture cannot show this , but it seemed to me these girls are first time with chalks in their hands and their drawings are simple 'smiles' only , that 2y/o kid would do ;)

amirreza from tehran, Iran

:)

8 May 2010 5:44am

@amirreza: :)

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United States

Beautiful youngsters. They seem to relish their tasks here.
This is inspiring...I almost want to get out the chalk, too---
but I will stick to attempting to make art with the camera for now. :-)

8 May 2010 6:13am

k@ from Paris, France

Love the pinkinsh (superb transparency) & brownish tones altogether and the girls expressions. Cool processing around the sisters or friends, where was this ? Seems like an outdoors school or a fiesta on a sunday party in a park for everywhere to gather and have picnik.

8 May 2010 6:18am

@k@: thx Karine . Yes, I took this picture in a park , where everyone find a little space for themselves .

Tede from Aubenas 07, France

Splendid Mariana, the color processing is of great beauty. Good day.

8 May 2010 6:55am

NaDu from Köln, Germany

Astute processing, that overexposed bg (at least I think so), the colored hanging clothes and the strong desaturated chicks. You must have stayed some time with image editing (or I'm - as often - totally wrong).

8 May 2010 7:17am

@NaDu: NO, you are not wrong . I was processing this image for about 30 minutes . Did not like it in sepia as it was my first idea . Did not like too many colors either from original shot . So, that is why I did layer-processing, taking colors of curtains only for that sepia version, and made this sepia version a little bit more alive ! Thanks NaDu :)

Emmeji from France

Joli traitement et belle ambiance !

8 May 2010 8:44am

Richard T from Leicester, United Kingdom

For me it's all about the two kids involved with their pastel drawings. But for boring old me I'm uncertain about the selective colouring of the fabrics ... Ha! but I'm sure you enjoyed mucking about ;;-))))

richard

8 May 2010 8:52am

@Richard T: Yes, for boring old you ( ha ha ) these pinkish curtains are strange , but not for me . I love how they make picture a little bit more alive .
