Great! 1 Jul 2009 6:14am k@ from Paris, FranceLove that duet (girls AND umbrellas), you could even come (or frame it) closer, the colors are so cool and their shelter so sweet, bravo ! 1 Jul 2009 6:16am @k@: Thanks K. I came closer to them and talked to lady. They look so different in this park than any other people . It was multicultural festival with Romanian folk on a stage at that moment , so you can imagine how my girls looked among Romanian, Polish, Yugoslavian, Greek .... I got a tight composition too; maybe some other time I post it :)) Standley from Carquefou, FranceWonderful capture! I love their peaceful attitude! 1 Jul 2009 7:34am Mathilde Collot from Fontainebleau, FranceUne image pleine d'humour et de sérieux! L'heure semble grave! très beau cliché!!!! 1 Jul 2009 7:49am xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, SpainGood capture. good framing. The expressions are extraordinary, but what I most like is the red light from the umbrella on the girls head and face. 1 Jul 2009 8:00am hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongWow, you've definitely captured their thoughts and emotions!!! Well done! ;-) 1 Jul 2009 2:01pm don from spokane, United StatesA fine shot of the two resting under umbrella's shade. Interesting setting with the title of the shot. We give up a lot to provide good experiences for our kids and their kids! :-) 1 Jul 2009 3:05pm @don: Yes, that was a point of this shot . Grandmas would do everything for their grandkids, much more than kids' parents :)) Thanks Don . Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThis is beautiful portraiture. You captured those expressions so perfectly, almost like you are a mind reader. Bravo! 1 Jul 2009 3:15pm Rags from Plano, United Statesthat is a really neat image. Love this one! and even works in B&W if you convert and punch up the contrast... the dress and purse and their dark beautiful skin will really take center stage! Congrats! 1 Jul 2009 7:04pm marc battault from clermont ferrand, FranceI thank you for your many nice comments on my blog, I discovered my yours and I discovered beautiful and pretty pictures! 1 Jul 2009 8:20pm tomie from Franceoh! great capture anamaria! they are funny and moving...the young girl is pretty! 1 Jul 2009 8:50pm Andy from United StatesGreat portrait. Haa, all of them had the same idea as the girl did! 1 Jul 2009 10:48pm @flyingwind风飞扬: I put under TAG a couple words , and mentioned - it was a multicultural festival in a park , and girl wanted to see it , but not to go to church with grandma :)) Thanks ! Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesGrandma knew who she wanted to stand out between them as can be seen in the vibrant colors captured in the outfit and umbrella the granddaughter had. Really love this one. 2 Jul 2009 6:25pm dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Stateshehe -- this is beautiful!! wonderful shot and love the humor too!! 3 Jul 2009 3:11am Bill Laing from Corvallis, OR, United StatesWow--I like this approach, too. If I had to choose, I prefer the B&W because of the perspective. Robert Capa once said "If you don't like your photographs, get closer."--or words to that effect. You did that in the B&W shot. Which do you prefer? 1 Oct 2009 5:58pm @Bill Laing: I prefer BW , since I really like BW portraits, not color ! For this one - one can feel their presence in all these colors , especially umbrellas , among other , very ordinary people . They looked so special to me :)) So, I like this one too, maybe not as much I like the picture, but I LOVE these two girls :)) |
